ART SPACE stift millstatt is located in the former monastery of Stift Millstatt, which was built ca. 1070 and served as a spiritual and cultural center for the upper Carinthian region of the Austrian Alps for centuries. Due to its role as a place of education, and thanks in part to its close proximatey to both Slovenia and Italy, Stift Millstatt represented an open-minded and inquisitve attitude to the world from its beginnings. Today, ART SPACE stift millstatt is a place for research and presentation of multi-cultural, multidisciplinary artistic exploration and collaboration.
