Schlehwein + NETZWERK AKS consists of experienced experts, dancers, choreographers, professors and dance theorists who - in the spirit of Life Long Learning - develop their own methods and intensively research and practice topics about the body, dance, anatomy, sports medicine, mobility and mediation.

After the successful opening of the first Klagenfurt Festival with the contemporary ballet butterfly tales, the third edition of Klagenfurt Festival 2023 will program films by Andrea K. Schlehwein.
The three dance + art films wozzeck_woyzeck_reloaded, RYO JU approaches and too many heroes will be presented on 27th of May 2023 @Burghof Klagenfurt, Austria.

too many heroes mirrors escalating conflicts which can be seen in many places nowadays. This work was triggered by the need to draw attention to the ongoing injustice in Myanmar where the constant violation of human rights by the junta has become a sad reality since the military seized power on February 1st 2021.

Andrea K. Schlehwein received a maximum funding for her outdoor
dance film production titled 'too many heroes' which will be realized in this October.

TRANSNATION is a necessary and immediate response to the threats made against the lives and democratic freedoms of our fellow artists, cultural workers, and people around the world. We stand in solidarity with all those oppressed by authoritarian regimes in their struggle for democracy and social justice. We are devoted to protecting all artists, cultural workers and people against any form of state harassement and repression. We will defend civil liberties and uphold the people's democracy.
Upon this occasion, TRANSNATION demands the Myanmar military - whose violent coup intends to reinstate a military dictatorship - end their brutality and martial law.
